MagicDots for WooCommerce
MagicDots is an AI-powered growth platform for WooCommerce stores. When connected through this plugin, it helps recover revenue your store might otherwise lose, estimate your profitability, and improve how your products show up in AI assistants like ChatGPT.
Important — please read: this plugin is a connector. It links your WooCommerce store to your MagicDots account, where all the work happens in the cloud. It runs no AI and sends no email from your site, and it does nothing on its own. A MagicDots account is required (new accounts include a 14-day free trial) — create one at magicdots.io, connect your store in a couple of minutes, and MagicDots takes it from there.
Recover lost revenue
Recover abandoned carts with automated follow-ups.
- Timed email and WhatsApp follow-ups reach shoppers who leave without buying.
- Premium, on-brand emails with your logo, product images and order totals.
- AI-generated copy written once at setup, then reused on every send.
- One-click cart restore rebuilds the shopper's full multi-item cart, ready to check out.
Understand and improve your AI visibility
See — and improve — how your products show up when shoppers ask AI assistants for recommendations.
- Track your visibility across ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity and Copilot.
- Per-product issues detected automatically, with ready-to-use optimized content.
- Real AI-answer checks, plus a competitor and retailer snapshot for your niche.
- (This is what "AI visibility" — also called AEO or GEO — means for your store.)
Understand your profit
Stop guessing what you actually make on each sale.
- Estimated net profit per order and per product, calculated from the costs, fees and taxes you configure.
- Break-even, margins, marketing-spend tracking and revenue attribution, all in one place.
- Flexible tax and cost models for different markets.
Grow and keep your customers
- Customer segmentation, a health score per customer, and a recommended next best action.
- Track attributed visits and revenue by channel — including shoppers who arrive from AI assistants.
Also included
- Product review requests — branded review invitations sent automatically after an order is paid or delivered.
- Marketing automation — win-back, VIP, re-engagement and replenishment campaigns with single-use discount coupons.
- WhatsApp chat widget — an optional storefront chat button.
What the plugin does on your site
The plugin's footprint on WordPress is small, transparent and fully under your control:
- Generates a WooCommerce REST API key and registers webhooks so MagicDots can sync your data.
- Periodically syncs orders, products and customers using Action Scheduler background jobs.
- Loads a small first-party analytics pixel (with signed per-page tokens) to attribute visits and capture abandoned carts, using server-side, HMAC-signed checkout identity.
- Optionally shows a WhatsApp chat button on the storefront — only when you enable it and set a phone number.
- Restores a shopper's multi-item cart from a recovery link.
- Is compatible with WooCommerce High-Performance Order Storage (HPOS).
Privacy and control
MagicDots is built to be trustworthy by default. Nothing is sent anywhere until you explicitly connect your store from the plugin's settings page — there is no hidden data collection on activation. Storefront analytics carry no personal data; shopper contact details are shared only through the order, customer, cart and checkout-identity flows needed to power recovery, reviews and marketing, and checkout identity is subject to your account's consent settings. You can disconnect at any time, which stops all data exchange, and every endpoint we use is listed in the External services section below.
External services
This plugin connects your site to MagicDots, a third-party SaaS operated by MagicDots, to provide the functionality described above. Connecting your store (which you do explicitly from the plugin's settings page) is what enables this data exchange — nothing is sent before you connect.
Data is transmitted to the MagicDots API at your configured account URL (e.g. https://app.magicdots.io) in the following cases:
- On connect: your store URL, a freshly generated WooCommerce REST API key/secret, a generated webhook secret, and plugin/WooCommerce/WordPress versions — sent to
/api/integrations/woocommerce/connect. - Orders: order line items, totals, coupons and customer contact details (name, email, phone) — sent on order webhooks and on a periodic sync to
/api/webhooks/woocommerceand/api/integrations/woocommerce/sync. - Customers: customer name, email and phone (including guest orders) — sent on a periodic sync.
- Abandoned carts: cart contents and, when available, the shopper's name/email/phone — sent on cart-update webhooks.
- Checkout identity: a shopper's email/phone/name entered at checkout — sent to
/api/v1/carts/identityto attach an abandoned cart to a contact (subject to your account's consent settings). - Storefront analytics: page views, add-to-cart events, referrer and UTM parameters (no personal data) — sent to
/api/v1/trackand/api/v1/traffic. - WhatsApp widget: widget configuration is fetched from
/api/v1/whatsapp-config; button clicks are logged to/api/tracker/whatsapp-click(no personal data).
By connecting your store you agree to the MagicDots Terms of Service and Privacy Policy:
