Vareon Calculator Suite Lite provides a collection of professional calculators that can be embedded anywhere on your WordPress site using either blocks or shortcodes.

This is the FREE Lite version with basic features. Explore Pro for advanced customization and a comprehensive library of calculator types.

Usage

Using Blocks (Recommended):

1. In the block editor, click the '+' button
2. Search for "Vareon Calculator" or browse the "Vareon Calculator Suite" category
3. Select your calculator type

Using Shortcodes:

Basic usage: [vareon type="bmi"] or [vareoncalc type="bmi"]

With all options: [vareon type="loan" theme="dark" width="600px" branding="0"]

Shortcode Parameters:

• type – Calculator type: loan, mortgage, savings, credit-card-payoff, roi, discount, tip, bmi, age, percentage, unit-converter, fuel-cost, gpa, grade-calc (default: bmi)
• theme – Theme override: light or dark (default: uses global setting)
• width – Calculator width: any CSS width value (default: 100%)
• branding – Show Vareon branding: 1

Note: If an invalid calculator type is specified (e.g., a typo like gpp instead of gpa), the shortcode will render nothing rather than showing a fallback calculator.

Calculator Details

BMI Calculator:

• Input: Height (cm) and Weight (kg)
• Output: BMI value with health category classification
• Categories: Underweight, Normal weight, Overweight, Obese
• Includes: Health tips and recommendations based on category

Loan Calculator:

• Input: Loan amount, APR %, Term in years
• Output: Monthly payment amount
• Breakdown: Total interest paid, total amount paid
• Features: Handles interest-free loans, warns on high APR

Savings & Compound Growth:

• Input: Initial deposit, monthly contribution, annual rate, time period, compound frequency
• Output: Final balance with compound interest breakdown
• Features: APY to APR conversion, contribution timing (beginning/end of month)

Age Calculator:

• Input: Birth date
• Output: Exact age in years, months, and days
• Features: Next birthday countdown

Unit Converter:

• Input: Value and unit type (length, weight, temperature)
• Output: Converted value in target unit
• Features: Multiple unit categories and conversions

Theme Customization

Navigate to Settings > Vareon Calculator Suite to access advanced theme controls:

General Settings: * Default theme (Light or Dark) * Global branding toggle * Per-block override permission

Lite ships with curated Light and Dark presets. When you need custom palettes, advanced layout controls, and additional themes, upgrade to Pro.

External Services

This plugin does not connect to any external third-party services. All calculations are performed locally in the user's browser. No data is transmitted to external servers.

Links to vareon.dev (e.g., "Powered by Vareon" branding, documentation, and upgrade prompts) are standard hyperlinks that users may click; the plugin does not automatically send any data to these URLs.

Data Storage & Privacy

Cookies: This plugin does not set any cookies.

Browser localStorage (functional): * vareoncalc_measurement_mode — Remembers the visitor's preferred measurement system (metric/imperial) on calculators that support both. This is purely functional and not used for analytics. * Admin-only keys (e.g., VAREONCALC_preview_calc_type) persist UI preferences within the settings page for convenience. These never leave the browser.

WordPress Database: * Site options: Theme preferences, currency settings, and other configuration (stored in the WordPress options table). * User meta (per-user): Admin notice dismissal timestamps. * Transients: Short-lived flags for activation redirects (auto-expire within 30 seconds).

No telemetry or tracking: This plugin does not collect usage data or any personally identifiable information. All calculations happen entirely in the browser.

Uninstall cleanup: When you delete this plugin via the WordPress admin, all stored data (options, transients, and user meta) is automatically removed from the database. Browser localStorage data can be cleared via your browser settings.
