What it does: The plugin connects to Google’s Gemini API to: – Generate chatbot responses to user questions – Create vector embeddings for content indexing – Process and understand natural language queries
When data is sent: – When a website visitor sends a message through the chatbot – When site administrators index content (posts/pages) into the knowledge base – When the chatbot searches for relevant content to answer questions
What data is sent: – User messages/questions submitted through the chatbot – Website content (post titles, excerpts, and content) when indexing is performed – API key for authentication – No personally identifiable information (PII) is sent without user consent
