Flagged Phone Field

The Flagged Phone Field plugin is a powerful tool designed for WordPress, offering advanced customization for phone number fields. With this plugin, you can control default country settings, exclude specific countries from the dropdown, highlight preferred countries, and even enable auto-selection of the user’s country. It seamlessly integrates with forms and ensures a user-friendly experience.

Usage

Before adding the flagged phone field to your forms, you can configure its default behavior in the global settings:

Global Settings

1. Navigate to Flagged Phone Field in the WordPress sidebar menu.
2. Configure the options:
   • Default Country: Choose which country is pre-selected when the page loads.
   • Exclude Countries: Select countries to hide from the country dropdown.
   • Preferred Countries: Pin specific countries to the top of the dropdown list.
   • Auto Country Select: Automatically detect the user’s country flag and dial code based on their IP address.
   • Disable International Dial Code: Toggle whether to show/hide the international dial code.
3. Save your settings. These options will be applied globally across all form plugins.

Here is how to add and use the flagged phone field in each supported form builder:

Contact Form 7

1. Navigate to Contact > Contact Forms and edit your form.
2. Click the Flagged Phone Field button in the form-tag generator toolbar.
3. Configure the field options (like Name, Default Value, Class) and click Insert Tag.
4. Or manually insert the tag in your form template:
   • [smart_mobile your-phone] (for optional field)
   • [smart_mobile* your-phone] (for required field)
5. Save the form and embed the generated shortcode on your website.

Fluent Forms

1. Navigate to Fluent Forms > All Forms and open your form in the builder.
2. In the right-hand panel under General Fields (or search for it), locate the Flagged Phone Field.
3. Drag and drop the Flagged Phone Field into your form layout.
4. Click on the field to customize options (Label, Placeholder, Required status, etc.) in the Element Info panel.
5. Save the form and embed it using the Fluent Forms block or shortcode.

Gravity Forms

1. Navigate to Forms > Forms and edit/create your form.
2. Expand the Advanced Fields toolbox in the right-hand sidebar.
3. Click or drag the Flagged Phone Field to place it on the form canvas.
4. Configure field properties (Field Label, Rules, Placeholder, etc.) in the Field Settings.
5. Save the form and embed it on your page using the Gravity Forms block or shortcode.
