WhisperChat – Ai chatbot for WordPress

WhisperChat AI lets you add your WhisperChat chatbot to a WordPress website without editing theme files or writing code. Enter your Chatbot ID, enable the plugin, and the chat widget will load automatically on your site. You can also choose to display it inside the WordPress admin area.

What is WhisperChat?

WhisperChat is an AI chatbot platform that helps businesses answer visitor questions, provide support, capture leads, and book meetings through a conversational interface.

You can create and train your chatbot in your WhisperChat dashboard, then connect it to your WordPress website using this plugin.

Train your chatbot with your own content

WhisperChat uses Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) to answer questions based on the information you provide. You can train your chatbot using:

• PDF files and other documents
• FAQs and custom question-and-answer data
• Product details, business information, and custom text

This helps the chatbot provide responses that are based on your content instead of generic AI answers.

Lead capture and qualification

WhisperChat can collect information from visitors during conversations, including:

It can also qualify leads, generate conversation summaries, and send lead information to supported CRM platforms such as Odoo and Attio.

Requirements

You need a WhisperChat. account before using this plugin.

Create and train your chatbot in your WhisperChat dashboard, then copy your Chatbot ID and paste it into the plugin settings.

External services

This plugin connects to WhisperChat, a third-party AI chatbot service, so that the chat widget can run on your site. This connection is required for the plugin to do anything — without it, there is no chatbot.

What the plugin does:

• When the chatbot is enabled, the plugin adds a small loader script, https://widget.whisperchat.ai/embed.js, to the pages you select. The Chatbot ID you enter is passed to that script so it knows which chatbot to display.
• When a visitor opens and uses the chat widget, their messages (and any contact details they choose to provide, such as name, email, or phone) are sent to WhisperChat’s servers in order to generate AI responses and, where enabled in your WhisperChat account, to capture leads.

No visitor data is sent until the chatbot is enabled in the plugin settings and a visitor actually interacts with the widget on the selected pages.
