Domain Monitor keeps an eye on the things that quietly break a website: it goes down, its SSL certificate expires, its domain lapses, or its DNS records change without warning.

This plugin connects your WordPress site to your Domain Monitor account in a couple of clicks. Sign in (or create a free account), press Monitor this site, and the plugin registers your site’s URL for uptime monitoring and can add its domain for SSL, expiry and DNS checks where your plan allows — no copying settings by hand.

What it does

  • Sign in with an existing Domain Monitor account, or create a free account without leaving WordPress.
  • One click adds an uptime (HTTP) monitor for your site’s URL.
  • One click can add your domain for SSL-certificate expiry, domain-expiry and DNS-change monitoring where your plan allows.
  • Shows your current connection and monitoring status inside the WordPress admin.
  • Links straight to your Domain Monitor dashboard for alerts, history and settings.

Free plan friendly. A free Domain Monitor account is enough to start uptime monitoring. Some domain checks, higher limits or faster checks may require a paid plan; if you hit a plan limit, the plugin tells you and links to upgrade — no surprises.

External services

This plugin connects to the Domain Monitor plugin API (by default https://plugins-api.domain-monitor.io/) to authenticate your account and to create and read your monitors and domains. It does this only in response to your actions in the plugin’s settings screen (connecting, creating an account, refreshing status, or pressing “Monitor this site”).

The following data is sent to Domain Monitor:

  • When connecting: your Domain Monitor email address and password (to obtain an access token).
  • When creating an account: your first name, email address and password.
  • When adding monitoring: your site’s URL and domain name.

Your access token is stored on your server and is used to authenticate subsequent requests. No data is sent to any other third party.
