External Service
This plugin connects to the Mark AI API service (https://api.markcopy.ai).
IMPORTANT: No external connections are made until you explicitly authorize the plugin. The connection only activates after you:
- Navigate to the authorization page from your Mark AI dashboard
- Review the permissions and data that will be shared
- Click the “Authorize Connection” button
You can revoke this authorization at any time from Settings → Mark AI by clicking “Disconnect from Mark AI”.
Data Transmitted to Mark AI:
When you authorize the connection, the following data is sent once to Mark AI:
- Site URL and site name (to identify your WordPress site)
- WordPress version and PHP version (for compatibility checking)
- Site language (for localization)
- Plugin version (for feature support)
- A secure API key (for authenticating requests)
Schema Discovery (on-demand):
After authorization, Mark AI may request information about your site’s content structure:
- Available post types (e.g., posts, pages, custom post types)
- Custom fields (postmeta keys, ACF fields, SEO plugin fields)
This helps Mark AI display the correct publishing options in its interface.
Template Analysis (on-demand):
When you select a post as a reference template in Mark AI, the plugin reads:
- Post metadata (title, type, editor used)
- Content structure (Elementor widgets or Gutenberg blocks)
- Editable content slots within the template
This allows Mark AI to generate content that matches your existing page layouts. Template analysis only occurs when you explicitly select a post as a reference.
What is NOT collected:
- No bulk content export – only posts you explicitly select as templates
- No user data or personal information
- No analytics or tracking data
Content flows both ways: Mark AI reads template structure when you select a reference post, and publishes new content when you trigger publishing.
Data Storage and Third Parties:
Your site data is stored securely within your Mark AI account and is used solely to enable the publishing functionality. Mark AI does not share your site data with third parties, does not sell your data, and does not use it for advertising or analytics purposes.
Access Control: Mark AI provides granular role-based permissions for this integration. Workspace administrators can control which team members are allowed to publish content to your WordPress site.
