Captyre – Slider to Video Converter

Captyre – Slider to Video Converter turns the sliders you already built in WordPress into broadcast-quality video — frame-accurate, with synchronized audio — using the Captyre.com cloud rendering service. There is no need to rebuild your creatives in a separate video editor: you design the slider in your favourite slider plugin, and Captyre captures it exactly as it animates and returns a finished video you can download — on demand, or automatically on a recurring schedule.

Supported slider platforms

  • Slider Revolution 7 (SR7 engine)
  • Smart Slider 3 (Free and Pro)
  • LayerSlider

What you can do

  • Convert any supported slider into a frame-accurate video with a single click
  • Keep the exact animation timing and synchronized audio of the original design in the render
  • Schedule recurring conversions — re-render a slider to video automatically on a daily, weekly, or monthly schedule, and pause, resume, or delete schedules anytime
  • Follow your render jobs and download the finished videos from the Jobs screen

Secure by design

Captyre is built to be safe to run on a live site. Every action the plugin exposes — submitting a render, connecting your account, browsing jobs — is restricted to authorized WordPress administrators, capability-checked and nonce-verified. The plugin renders nothing locally and sends no slide data anywhere until you explicitly connect your Captyre.com account. When you do, your creative travels over a secure (HTTPS) connection to the Captyre.com cloud, where it is captured and converted into video; only the finished video URL is returned to your WordPress site.

Requirements

  • A free or paid account at Captyre.com
  • At least one supported slider platform installed: Slider Revolution 7.0.0 or later, Smart Slider 3, or LayerSlider

External services

This plugin relies on a third-party service to provide its core functionality (video rendering of slides). By installing and using this plugin, you agree to the terms and privacy policy of the service listed below.

The plugin does not contact any external service on install or activation. On first use it shows an admin notice asking for your explicit permission to connect; no data is sent and no remote request is made until you accept (or until you save your Captyre API credentials, which is itself an explicit opt-in). Consent is off by default.

Uninstalling the plugin removes everything it stores on your WordPress site — saved credentials, access tokens, sharing settings, its scheduled tasks, and its database tables. Any account or data held for you at captyre.com is created through a separate registration on captyre.com and is governed by the captyre.com terms and privacy policy; uninstalling this plugin does not delete that account or its data.

Captyre rendering service (api.captyre.com)

What it is and what it is used for: Captyre is a cloud rendering service operated by the plugin author. The plugin cannot render videos locally inside WordPress — slide rendering requires a headless browser, GPU-accelerated video encoding, and screen recording infrastructure that lives on Captyre’s servers. The plugin submits a job to api.captyre.com, the service renders the slide to a video file, and the resulting video URL is returned to the WordPress site.

What data is sent and when: * When you click “Generate video” on a slide, the plugin sends the slide identifier, slide platform (Slider Revolution, Smart Slider 3, LayerSlider), playback URL on your own WordPress site, an API key, and the requesting WordPress user identifier. * When the rendering job completes, Captyre posts the resulting video URL and job metadata back to your WordPress site via the configured callback URL. * When viewing the Jobs list, the plugin polls api.captyre.com for job status updates. * When connecting the plugin to your Captyre account, login credentials are exchanged for a JWT token which is stored as a transient.
