Centous Shipping Protection allows WooCommerce store owners to offer optional shipping protection during Cart and Checkout. Customers can protect their orders against loss, theft, damage, or delayed delivery and submit claims directly from their My Account dashboard.

Getting Started

Configure Insurance Plans

  1. Go to Shipping Protect Plans
  2. Select your insurance plan type:
    • Fixed
    • Percentage
  3. Configure plan mode:
    • Single Plan
  4. Save your insurance plan

Configure Widget Settings

  1. Go to Shipping Protect Widget Settings
  2. Enable shipping protection on Cart and/or Checkout
  3. Customize:
    • Switcher layout (toggle or checkbox)
    • Insurance icon
    • Spacing, typography, colors, and border style
  4. Save settings

Manage Orders

  1. Go to Shipping Protect Manage Orders
  2. View all protected WooCommerce orders
  3. Track claim and fulfillment statuses

Manage Claims

  1. Go to Shipping Protect Manage Claims
  2. Review submitted customer claims
  3. Reject, or refund claims
  4. View uploaded customer proof attachments

Insurance Plan Types

Fixed Plan

Charge a fixed insurance amount per order.

Example: Order Protection = $5

Percentage Plan

Charge insurance based on order subtotal percentage.

Example: 2% of cart subtotal

Cart Value Based Plan (Pro)

Charge different protection fees depending on cart total ranges. Available in Centous Shipping Protection Pro.

Example: $2.99 for carts under $50, $4.99 for carts between $50 and $150, and $7.99 for carts over $150.

Claim Workflow

  1. Customer places an order with shipping protection enabled
  2. Customer submits a claim request from My Account
  3. Admin reviews claim details and attachments
  4. Admin approves or rejects the claim
  5. Refund is processed for approved claims

Data Handling & Privacy

This plugin does not collect personal data independently.

Customer claim information is stored locally in your WordPress database and used only for claim management purposes.
