Indigetal Course Workflow Enhancements for Tutor LMS
Indigetal Course Workflow Enhancements for Tutor LMS extends Tutor LMS with practical workflow options for sites that rely on WordPress and Gutenberg. It is the free WordPress.org edition of TutorPress.
Configure everything under Tutor LMS → Course Workflow.
What this plugin does
Five optional toggles on the Course Workflow settings page:
- Redirect Backend Course Editing to Gutenberg — When enabled, backend course editing links open the WordPress block editor instead of Tutor’s default editing flow.
- Redirect Frontend Dashboard Editing to Gutenberg — When enabled, course editing links in the frontend instructor dashboard open the block editor.
- Remove Button to Frontend Builder in Course Editor — Hides the frontend builder button in the course editor when you want a Gutenberg-first experience.
- Enable Discussion Tab in Lessons — Adds a Discussion tab to the lesson sidebar and presents lesson comments using standard WordPress comment patterns. Helpful when you want to use third-party comment or moderation plugins.
- Add Media Library & H5P Links to Instructor Dashboard — Adds links on the frontend instructor menu to the WordPress Media Library and H5P editor in wp-admin, so frontend instructors can manage media and create H5P content when you allow backend access for those tools.
Included whenever the plugin is active:
- Lessons submenu — Adds a Lessons item under Tutor LMS in wp-admin for quicker access to lesson posts.
- Co-instructor editing in Gutenberg — Co-instructors assigned on a shared course can open and save courses and lessons in the block editor.
Summary: alignment and choice
At a higher level, this plugin helps in two ways:
Alignment — Supports sites that want Tutor LMS course content to work more like the rest of WordPress: block editor routing where you choose it, lesson comments presented in a familiar pattern, and instructor access to media and H5P tools from the frontend dashboard when needed.
Choice — Each major workflow change is a toggle. Enable only what fits your site. Leave the rest off to keep Tutor LMS defaults.
