About the design
Calm visuals with one controlled accent
The palette stays mostly neutral and duotonal, with a deep accent color reserved for navigation and CTAs. The homepage introduces a single, controlled “mood” moment via an animated gradient treatment on the cover—adding character without making imagery a requirement across the site.
Typography-first, image-optional by design
Academic sites often lack natural images for every entry. This design plans to succeed without them by using typography, spacing, and metadata details to structure the layout. It pairs the workhorse Rubik (headings) with Noticia Text (body copy) to deliver a clean, lab-like reading experience across both short and long content.
