External services

This plugin relies on the Card2Crypto cryptocurrency payment API to function. It is a payment gateway, so connecting to this external service is required for it to work.

What it connects to and why:

• api.card2crypto.org — the payment API. When a customer chooses this gateway, the plugin sends the order total, the store currency, the cryptocurrency the customer selected, the store’s payout wallet address for that coin, and a callback URL on your site. The API returns a unique payment address, the amount due in crypto, the network minimum/fee, and a QR code, and later calls your site’s callback URL to confirm the payment. The plugin also fetches the list of supported coins and their logo images from this endpoint. No customer personal data (name, email, billing address) is sent by the on-site gateway.
• pay.card2crypto.org (or your own configured custom domain) — used only by the optional ”hosted” multi-coin mode, which redirects the buyer to a Card2Crypto-hosted checkout page to complete payment. This is only used if you enable that gateway.
