Firetap Knowledge Panel Schema
Firetap Knowledge Panel Schema helps firms, agencies, consultants, local businesses, and publishers manage structured data and search presentation from one plugin.
Instead of juggling separate tools for business schema, FAQs, reviews, video SEO, validation, and page-level overrides, the plugin brings those workflows into one admin experience.
Version 2.8.2 focuses on a cleaner professional SEO workflow with:
- a unified FireTap SEO panel for page-level search, schema, overrides, AI FAQs, and AI visibility checks
- editable SEO title, meta description, focus keyphrase, and Google-style search preview controls
- AI title, meta description, and FAQ generation using supported providers
- schema health monitoring, validation tools, and a live URL inspector
- duplicate and missing-property warnings to reduce markup risk
- citation-ready answer blocks and source attribution features for trust-focused pages
- reusable schema templates, advanced conditions, presets, and entity linking
- import/export packs, white-label admin options, permissions, and snapshot rollback tools
- support for business, local, article, service, product, review, FAQ, video, and other common schema types
- modern FAQ, review, and video presentation features so schema-managed content also works well on-page
This plugin is designed for organisations that want stronger technical SEO, better content workflows, and more control over structured data at scale.
Step-By-Step Setup Guide
1. Set Up Your Business Or Brand Schema
Go to KPSP Schema > Settings and complete your main organisation details first:
- business name
- website URL
- logo
- phone number
- contact type
- language
- social profile URLs
- business type
- local business details such as address, geo, opening hours, and area served
Why this matters: This creates the core entity data that supports brand consistency, local SEO, and stronger Knowledge Panel signals.
2. Build Reusable Schema Templates
Go to KPSP Schema > Templates and create templates for the page types you use most often.
Good starter examples:
- Service template for service pages
- Article template for blog posts
- FAQ template for guide pages
- Product template for product or package pages
- Video template for video landing pages
Then assign display conditions such as:
- post type
- category
- tag
- taxonomy term
- page template
- author
- meta key
- featured image
- specific post or URL match
Why this matters: Templates let firms scale structured data across many pages without rebuilding markup page by page.
3. Use The Dashboard And URL Inspector
Go to KPSP Schema > Dashboard to review schema health across the site.
Use it to check:
- schema coverage
- warnings
- missing required fields
- duplicate or conflicting nodes
- detected schema types
Then open KPSP Schema > Validation to inspect a live URL and review the generated graph in more detail.
Why this matters: This helps teams catch technical SEO problems before they become larger sitewide issues.
4. Create FAQ Groups
Go to FAQ Groups and create a reusable FAQ set.
You can:
- add questions and answers manually
- choose a front-end layout
- set colours, spacing, typography, icons, and display variants
- control FAQ schema output
Place the FAQ group where needed using the shortcode shown in the editor, for example:
[faq_group id="123"]
Why this matters: FAQ Groups help firms turn helpful service or sales questions into reusable content blocks that also support FAQ schema.
5. Optimise Search Appearance On Individual Pages
Edit any page or post and open the FireTap SEO panel.
Use the Search tab to manage:
- focus keyphrase
- SEO title
- meta description
- Google-style preview
Recommended workflow:
- Open the
Searchtab. - Review the live preview.
- Edit the SEO title manually or click
Generate SEO Title. - Edit the meta description manually or click
Generate Meta Description. - Save the page.
Why this matters: It gives firms a cleaner way to manage title and description quality directly in the editor while reusing the same AI setup already configured for FAQs.
6. Use AI FAQ Generation On Individual Pages
Edit any page or post and open the FireTap SEO panel, then switch to the AI FAQs tab.
Recommended workflow:
- Enable AI FAQs on that page.
- Choose the language style such as British English or American English.
- Choose whether approved FAQs should display on the page.
- Choose whether approved FAQs should output FAQ schema.
- Click
Generate FAQs From This Page. - Review each generated FAQ.
- Mark each item as Approved, Pending, or Rejected.
- Save the page.
If you use Divi, Elementor, or another builder and want precise placement, paste this shortcode where you want the approved AI FAQs to appear:
[kpsp_page_ai_faq]
Why this matters: This gives firms a faster way to draft relevant FAQs while keeping full admin approval before anything goes live.
7. Add AI Visibility And Trust Signals
Edit any page or post and open the FireTap SEO panel, then switch to AI Visibility.
You can configure:
- citation-ready answer block
- answer block title
- answer block summary
- answer block position
- source attribution block
- author name and URL
- reviewer name and URL
- last updated date
- citation links
- about entity
- reviewed-by entity
Why this matters: This helps firms publish clearer answer summaries and stronger trust signals on pages where authority and credibility matter most.
8. Add Reviews
Go to Review Groups and create a review set for the relevant service, location, or landing page.
You can:
- add reviews manually
- import or paste reviews
- choose display layouts such as cards, grid, list, slider, badge, or quotes
- show ratings, avatars, CTAs, replies, excerpts, and highlights
- output review schema
Why this matters: Review Groups help firms show proof, trust, and conversion-focused content in a reusable format.
9. Create Video Pages
Go to Videos and add a new video page.
Complete the main fields:
- video title
- video URL or embed URL
- thumbnail
- upload date
- duration
- description
- transcript
Then choose a layout template and branding settings.
You can also:
- choose where the title, description, transcript, and FAQs should appear
- use global video branding or override styles per video
- control title size, colours, spacing, borders, and page width
- add a custom back button label and link from the main settings
Why this matters: This helps firms publish more polished video landing pages that are useful for both users and search engines.
10. Add FAQs To Video Pages
Inside each video entry you now have two ways to add FAQs:
- add Video FAQs directly inside the dedicated FAQ editor
- paste a normal FAQ Group shortcode into the Video FAQ shortcode field
When using the shortcode field, you can choose where FAQs appear in the video layout, such as:
- below the player
- beside the player
- below the content area
- sidebar
Why this matters: This gives teams flexibility to use either dedicated video FAQs or their existing reusable FAQ Groups on video landing pages.
11. Use Rich HTML Editing Where Needed
The plugin now supports richer editing in key areas.
Examples:
- AI FAQ answers use the WordPress editor
- video transcript uses the WordPress editor
- video FAQ answers support HTML-capable editing
- video description can process shortcode content
Why this matters: This makes it much easier to add links, formatting, and more polished content without losing control.
12. Export, Import, And Reuse Configurations
Go to KPSP Schema > Settings for pack export and import tools.
Use this when you want to:
- move settings between staging and live sites
- reuse templates across client projects
- standardise delivery across similar firms or campaigns
Why this matters: Agencies and multi-site teams can save time by reusing successful schema and content setups.
13. Use Permissions And White-Label Options
From the settings area, configure:
- white-label branding
- role-safe access to Dashboard, Templates, Entities, Validation, and Settings
Why this matters: This helps agencies give clients a cleaner interface without exposing every advanced control.
14. Save Snapshot History Before Big Changes
The plugin stores snapshots before major template, entity, settings, and import actions.
Use this when:
- testing a new schema structure
- changing reusable templates
- importing data from another site
- updating client configurations
Why this matters: Rollback support reduces risk when you make bigger technical SEO or content-structure changes.
