PS Monitor & Alerts for Telegram

PS Monitor & Alerts for Telegram sends selected WordPress, WooCommerce, login, update, stock, cart, checkout, and system events to a Telegram destination chosen by the site administrator.

The free plugin includes:

• Telegram bot connection and test tools.
• WordPress administrator alerts for login, users, plugins, updates, recovery, and critical errors.
• WooCommerce administrator alerts for orders, payments, status changes, refunds, stock, cart, coupons, and checkout activity.
• A delivery queue with retry, backoff, dead-letter handling, deduplication, and diagnostics.
• Secure credential loading from wp-config.php or server environment variables.
• A one-time fourteen-day database setup option. This security limit protects Telegram credentials and website information; Secure Mode is required after the period ends.
• Local site-notice and approved remote-notice tests.
• Product-specific consent controls for optional PS Tools remote services.
• Documentation and troubleshooting inside WordPress administration.

WooCommerce is optional. WordPress alerts and diagnostics continue to work when WooCommerce is not installed.

A separately distributed Premium add-on can provide customer Telegram notifications, customer opt-in and order notes, Quiet Hours, editable templates, advanced routing, email monitoring, Security Monitor, GeoIP enrichment with separate consent, licensed updates, and integrations such as the PS Smart Booking Event Bridge. Premium code and its private updater are not included in this WordPress.org package.

Message design

Built-in Telegram messages use layouts appropriate to their context:

• Cart activity uses a compact WooCommerce activity layout.
• Orders, payments, refunds, and stock use commerce-focused layouts.
• Security events use a high-visibility security layout.
• WordPress changes and email reports use separate operational layouts.
• Customer messages use store-owned branding when the Premium add-on is active.
• PS Smart Booking events use a dedicated booking layout when the compatible product and integration are active.
• License, Premium add-on, and fourteen-day database-setup events use separate lifecycle layouts.

Custom message-template overrides are preserved.

External Services

The plugin contacts an external service only when the related feature is configured or explicitly approved.

Telegram Bot API

The Telegram Bot API is used to verify the configured bot and deliver alert messages selected by the site administrator.

Depending on enabled alerts, data may include the site name and URL, event title, WooCommerce order or stock details, masked email-delivery information, security-event details, an IP address, and selected message-template fields. The administrator controls the destination Bot Token and Chat ID.

PS Tools Remote Services

The plugin does not contact PS Tools remote services until an administrator accepts the product-specific Remote Services Agreement in Telegram Alerts → Support and enables the relevant scope.

Available scopes are:

• License validation, used only after an administrator enters a Premium key.
• Premium update checks, used only with the separately installed Premium add-on.
• Product notices, used for relevant compatibility, maintenance, or service information.
• Optional diagnostics, used only when separately enabled.

Data may include the entered license key, product identifier, plugin version, WordPress and PHP versions, WooCommerce version when active, site URL, installation UUID, plan/status metadata, remote-notice acknowledgement identifiers, and limited connection error codes. Environment details are included only with diagnostics consent.

Telegram Bot Tokens, Chat IDs, Telegram message contents, customer/order/payment/password data, complete diagnostic exports, and hosting credentials are not sent to PS Tools remote services.

Consent can be revoked from the product Support page. Revoking it stops every PS Tools server connection for this product, including license refresh and remote notices. Included Lite monitoring continues locally.

Privacy

The plugin stores settings, delivery queue state, diagnostics, event deduplication state, and optional remote-service consent state in the WordPress database. Temporary database setup can also store Telegram credentials for up to fourteen days; Secure Mode loads credentials from wp-config.php or server environment variables instead.

When customer Telegram features are enabled through the separate Premium add-on, customer connection data may be stored in WordPress user or order metadata.

The plugin adds suggested privacy-policy text to Settings → Privacy. Site owners should disclose the alerts they enable and the data sent to Telegram or other explicitly approved services.
