Batch

Batch is a store theme for small bakeries and local businesses specializing in sweet treats. It’s designed to feel store-like without the complexity of a full e-commerce storefront, to cater to the unique needs of small, local, community-oriented bakeries.

Theme configuration

Batch comes with a homepage design that lets you include information about your business, including products, testimonials, and image gallery. You can edit the homepage via the Site Editor, accessible from your dashboard, via Appearance > Editor.

Featured products

Batch is designed to feel store-like without the complexity of a full e-commerce storefront. It’s perfect for showcasing products or services, whether you’re selling through a third-party platform like Etsy or accepting payments directly on your site.

The products listed on the homepage under the “Currently serving” heading are built using images, headings, and buttons blocks.

1. To replace an image, click on it, and then select “Replace” from the floating toolbar, that let’s you upload an use your own images.
2. To update the title, click on it, and start editing.
3. You can link the buttons to an external store, or replace them with a Payment button to take orders and payments directly on your website.

Alternate template for single posts

Batch comes with an alternative template for posts and pages, with featured image displayed on the left, and post title and content on the right (see an example on the demo site). It’s perfect for presenting individual products or services with a more detailed description.
