Shhh emulates the aesthetics and usability of a dedicated writing app, complementing the block editor experience with an equally immersive frontend for writers. It aims to focus and reduce the creator and viewing experience.

With this one we also wanted to create a base theme that could become the default experience for the “I want to start writing” blogger flow in WordPress.com, where users skip picking a design altogether.

Featuring DM Mono, Shhh provides a calm and focused environment for the writer. The theme’s uniform design utilizes a single font size for both body text and titles, ensuring a clean and coherent look. Links stand out with a subtle background opacity and a touch of blue accent color.

It comes in light and dark variations and can be easily customized to other colors.
