Social Media Blaster
Social Media Blaster keeps your social media in step with your website. Every time you publish a post, the plugin automatically shares it to the business social accounts you own and have connected, so your audience sees new content everywhere, without manual cross-posting.
When you publish a post, the plugin securely notifies the ABIE Syndicate service, which then publishes an update (your post’s title, a short excerpt, and a link back to the article) to each social account you have connected. You stay in control: choose which networks a given post goes to, override the message per post, or opt a post out entirely.
What it does
- Automatic cross-posting. Publishing a post triggers a share to your connected social accounts, with no extra steps.
- You own the accounts. Connect your own business profiles, for example a company Facebook Page. Additional channels are being added.
- A single connections dashboard. See at a glance which networks are in use and working, which need attention, and which are not connected yet. Activate a network by entering its credentials, and update or rotate those credentials at any time.
- Per-post control. A box on the post editor lets you pick networks, set a custom message, or skip syndication for that post.
- An activity log per post shows exactly what was published where, with links to the live posts and clear error messages if something needs attention.
- Safe retries. A post is never accidentally published twice, even if your site retries the request.
How it works (and what you need)
This plugin is a secure client for the ABIE Syndicate service operated by ABIE, LLC. The service performs the actual posting and holds the social-network credentials so they are never stored on your WordPress site. To use the plugin you connect it to an ABIE Syndicate account (see the External Services section below). You enter each social account’s credentials once in the plugin; they are transmitted over an authenticated, encrypted connection and stored encrypted on the ABIE server.
This separation means a compromise of your WordPress site does not expose your social-media tokens, and credential and API changes are handled centrally rather than on every site.
External services
This plugin connects to the ABIE Syndicate service operated by ABIE, LLC, at https://syndicate.abie.com. The plugin does not function without it. The service is what actually publishes to your social networks and securely stores the credentials you provide.
When data is sent:
- When you publish (or update) a post that is enabled for syndication, the plugin sends that post’s data to the service: the post title; the message to be shared (your custom per-post message, or the post title plus its excerpt); the excerpt; the permalink (URL); the featured image URL; the post ID and its GUID; the publish time; the networks you selected; your site identifier; the plugin version; and technical request fields (a contract version and an idempotency key). This is what the service publishes on your behalf. (The plugin does not send your WordPress version or any visitor information.)
- When you connect or update a social account in the plugin’s settings, the plugin sends the credentials you entered for that channel (for example, a Facebook Page ID and Page access token) to the service, which stores them encrypted. These credentials are not stored in your WordPress database.
- When you open the settings or post screens, the plugin may request your account/connection status from the service to display which networks are connected and working.
Every request is signed with a per-site secret and sent over HTTPS. No data is sent to any other third party by this plugin.
Use of the ABIE Syndicate service is subject to its terms and privacy policy:
- Terms of Service: https://abie.com/terms/
- Privacy Policy: https://abie.com/privacy-policy/
Posting to a social network is additionally governed by that network’s own terms (for example, Facebook/Meta), and you are responsible for using only accounts you own or are authorized to manage.
Privacy
This plugin transmits post content and the social-account credentials you enter to the ABIE Syndicate service so it can publish on your behalf; see the External Services section for specifics and for links to the service’s terms and privacy policy. The plugin itself does not set cookies or track visitors.
