ActiLog Admin Event Monitor

WordPress doesn’t provide a built-in way to see what your users have been doing in the admin area. If a post gets deleted, a plugin gets deactivated, or a suspicious login happens — there’s no record of it.

ActiLog Admin Event Monitor solves this by logging every meaningful admin action. You’ll always know who did what, when, and from where.

It’s built for multi-author blogs, client sites, and agencies who need accountability without the complexity of enterprise audit tools.

What gets tracked

  • Login, logout, and failed login attempts
  • Posts and pages — create, edit, publish, trash, delete
  • User management — registration, deletion, role changes, profile edits
  • Plugins — activate, deactivate, delete
  • Themes — switches
  • Settings — core WordPress option changes
  • Categories and tags — create, edit, delete
  • Comments — new comments and status changes
  • Media — uploads and deletions
  • Menus — create, update, delete navigation menus

Features

  • Works immediately after activation — no setup needed
  • Records IP address and browser info for each event
  • Filter logs by event type, user, or search keywords
  • Export logs to CSV
  • Auto-cleanup keeps your database lean (configurable retention period)
  • Toggle tracking per category from Settings
  • Lightweight — no frontend scripts, no external services

How it works

  1. Install and activate
  2. That’s it — activity is being recorded
  3. View logs under Event Monitor in the admin menu
  4. Adjust what to track under Event Monitor > Settings

All data stays in your database. Nothing is sent externally.
