Inletbase
Inletbase is a powerful WordPress integration plugin designed specifically for web developers and digital agencies. Instead of relying on unreliable SMTP setups, complicated Zapier webhooks, or expensive form builder add-ons, this plugin securely captures form data at the browser level and sends it directly to your centralized Inletbase dashboard.
Additionally, it allows you to effortlessly deploy your trained AI Chatbots straight to your WordPress site with a single click—automatically whitelisting your domain and injecting the secure widget without touching any code.
It works universally with almost any WordPress form plugin by intercepting the standard browser form submission event. This ensures high compatibility and prevents lost submissions due to complex caching or server configuration rules.
How It Works
Connecting a form takes three simple steps, with no code and no technical setup.
- Create a form or train an AI Chatbot in your Inletbase dashboard.
- Connect your WordPress site to Inletbase (one click, or paste an API key).
- For Chatbots: select your trained bot, and the widget instantly appears on your site.
- For Forms: choose the Inletbase form you want to send to, pick the matching form on your website from the detected list, then confirm the field matches. The plugin pre-fills the best matches for you.
The plugin automatically detects the forms already on your site built with the major form builders, reads their fields, and captures each submission on your server. Your private API key stays on your server and is never exposed in the browser. Your form keeps working exactly as before, including its own email notifications and database entries.
If you use a builder we do not detect yet, or a hand-coded HTML form, you can still connect it using the advanced CSS selector option.
Automatic Form Detection
The plugin detects forms and their fields automatically for:
- Contact Form 7
- WPForms
- Gravity Forms
- Fluent Forms
- Ninja Forms
- Forminator
- Elementor Pro Forms
These forms are captured on the server, which keeps submissions working even with heavy caching, theme markup changes, or JavaScript disabled. Elementor forms are matched by their Form Name, so give each Elementor form a unique name.
Also Compatible (Advanced CSS Selector)
Any other form can be connected manually with a CSS selector, including:
- Divi Builder Forms
- Custom HTML Forms
- Any theme or page-builder form
Core Features
- AI Chatbot Integration: Instantly deploy trained AI assistants to your site with automatic domain whitelisting and secure script injection.
- Proactive Engagement: Support for custom chatbot avatars and proactive popup engagement right out of the box.
- Automatic Form Detection: The plugin finds the forms already on your site and their fields, so setup is a guided pick-and-match flow with no code.
- Reliable Server-Side Capture: Submissions from supported builders are captured on the server, so they keep working with caching, markup changes, or JavaScript disabled.
- Secure Key Storage: API keys are stored securely in your WordPress database, never exposed in public JavaScript logic.
- Zero Interference: The plugin captures submissions in the background. It does not stop your form builder from sending its regular email notifications or saving to the local database.
- Field Level Mapping: You control exactly which fields are sent to the external dashboard, with best matches pre-filled for you.
- CSS Selector Fallback: Connect custom or unsupported forms manually with a CSS selector.
- Cross-Site Management: Connect dozens of client WordPress websites to a single Inletbase organization account.
Built For Agencies
Managing multiple client websites often means dealing with lost form submissions, broken SMTP plugins, and missing client emails. Inletbase solves this by providing one unified dashboard where you can see every submission from every client site in real-time.
Please note: You must have an active Inletbase account to use this plugin. You can create a free account at inletbase.com.

External Services & Third-Party Disclosure
This plugin connects your WordPress site to Inletbase (https://inletbase.com), a third-party Software-as-a-Service platform operated by Byteonic Labs. An active Inletbase account and API key are required for the plugin to function. The plugin cannot capture form data or deploy chatbots without connecting to this external service.
What the plugin sends to Inletbase, and when:
- Form submissions (Forms feature): When a visitor submits a mapped form on your site, the data from the form fields you explicitly mapped is sent to the Inletbase API endpoint (
https://inletbase.com/api/v1). Alongside the mapped fields, the plugin sends a small metadata object containing the page URL where the form was submitted, the visitor’s browser user-agent string, and identifiers noting the submission came from the WordPress plugin. This transmission happens at the moment of submission. The same endpoint is used from your WordPress admin to list your forms and chatbots and to register your site’s domain for chatbot whitelisting. - Chatbot widget (Chatbots feature): When you activate a chatbot, the plugin loads a JavaScript widget from Inletbase (
https://api.inletbase.com/widget/chatbot.js) on your site’s front end. Visitor messages typed into the chatbot and the AI responses are processed through the Inletbase backend. Your site’s domain is registered with Inletbase for whitelisting when you activate a bot. - Administration: Your API key is stored in your WordPress database and sent as a bearer token with each API request to authenticate your account. It is never exposed in front-end/browser code.
- “Connect with Inletbase” (optional setup): If you choose the one-click connect option instead of pasting a key, your browser is sent to
https://inletbase.com/connect/wordpressto sign in and approve the connection. After you approve, your WordPress server exchanges a single-use code athttps://inletbase.com/api/apps/wordpress/exchangeto receive a newly generated API key for this site. Only the site URL and a short-lived code are exchanged; no visitor data is involved in this step.

Privacy Policy
Inletbase transmits form submission data and chatbot conversation messages to the Inletbase platform (https://inletbase.com) via a secure HTTPS connection. For forms, the data from the fields you explicitly map is transmitted, together with metadata about each submission: the page URL it was submitted from, the visitor’s browser user-agent, and identifiers indicating the submission originated from this WordPress plugin. For chatbots, visitor messages and AI responses are processed through the Inletbase backend, and your site domain is registered for widget whitelisting.
You are responsible for disclosing this data processing to your own site visitors in your website’s privacy policy where required by applicable law (including the GDPR, UK GDPR, and CCPA/CPRA). For full details on how Inletbase handles data, see the Inletbase Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
