We’ve added some new features to the stats system. When you got to your blogs stats on your dashboard you’ll notice next to each of the top posts for a given day there is a “stats” link. (We’re going to have a nifty icon for this.)
If you click on that, it will take you to the historical stats for that given post. You can see how the popularity of a post evolved over time. Most posts probably start out with lots of hits and then go down, but some may spike if you get a link from something like Digg. It will also tell you how many views total that post has gotten.
We’ve also brought back the total posts, comments, tags, and Akismet stats as the fourth box on the stats page, so you can now see these stats all in one place again.
Update: We now have a cool stats icon —
— care of Bryan.
Rohan, your post really doesn’t make sense. You can see spikes in referrals to tell you exactly where traffic is coming from, not to mention incoming links. If you want something more advanced, there are plenty of image-only stat counters you can use, including Sitemeter.
wow!
great!!
it’s a surprise when i login!!
thanks!
Cool.. Thanks.
Wonderful feature!
Wow! It is very cool! Thanks and Thanks…
Keep growing and introducing new techs..
Best Smile,

Woohoo! My wishes came true. This is what I wanted most! Thank you! Thank you!
Goody! It is highly advantageous in the sense that people would want to know which topics their readers are liking/recommending/digging 😉
BTW, the graph for posts with varying hits is too congested for comfort….I’d be glad if the ‘frequency’ of the graphs can be selected by the users. Like if I want a weekly trend of the hits, I should be able to do so from a drop-down menu! That would really eb funky 🙂
Arrrgh stats… more to check up on.
No, really it is a good improvement.
Thanks guys.

Thanks!!! Better knowledge about our blogs!
Thanks for new feature, I like it. I was working on a post at the time so I saw it only a few minutes after the change. I didn’t comment then because it has several bugs, thought I’d wait till they were fixed, but it’s still ‘buggy.’ Do you guys know? i.e. one old post received views that day, counted up all the views it had received, but your “total views” = 0 (A new one: received 22 views, your stats = 1)
I’ll wait a few more days before sending in Feedback (–I’m too busy with election). Everybody: VOTE!
Is there a way of, in addition to the stats for each post, to put referals there as well? This way we know how people are getting to the post.
Thanks!
i just checked and now we have a ‘today’s visit’ in the static box.
thanks a lot.
you’re doing a super work, glad to be on board.
Fabulous!
wow, you guys just keep making it better and better..
kudo.. well done..
The way wordpress does the stats is much better than those so-called “free webstats” services. It’s very well laidout and it’s a very at-a-glance kind of thing for people like me. Gd job.
Thank you Matt, Excellent addition, Really good News, I like it, I agree with CAROCAT, I love stats on each post
It’s a great idea!!! I love it!!!
I’ve look that if the title of the post are too long in the historical stat of that post the total number of access doesn’t appear(for example this is a title of my post where it happen “Inuyasha and Co : Temi per cellulare W600i”).
And if i can ask for it …it’s possibile to put this historical counter to the page too? I have some image gallery create as page…and i don’t know how the access are on that ones…
Thanks for the attention! And excuse me for my terrible english!!!!
Astasia
The separate column devoted to just the graphic link to the individual graph seems superfluous; why not just have the “Views” items link to that page?
Thankyou for this. I really like it, however, it would be a bit more helpful if the totals were not cut off because I have too long of titles. Maybe the totals could be first before the title instead of following. Regardless, this is really great!
nice stuff
Just wanted to say thanks for the great stuff you all are doing.. it keeps getting better!

I REALLY like this feature!
