These are awful! You can hardly tell the difference between a grin, a twisted or an evil. The wink and the smile are almost exactly the same. And the ones that used to move don’t any more – the blush and the eyeroll. I do wish WP would stop changing things that work – or at least give us a choice about accepting changes. The look of my blog (where I use smileys as a rating sytem) has been ruined by this change. I sometimes wonder whose blog it is – mine or yours?

When I only use one ❤ it does not turn into the emoticon on my blog.
Looks like the space before the < is garbled. Try deleting that line and typing it in by hand again.

To be honest I kinda miss the old “lol” emote.
It was animated and really expressed me laughing better than a giant tooth grin 😦 lol
Overall, I like them a lot! ❤ I miss the animated ones, though; the animated 😀 and 😥 were more expressive to me than the static ones we have now. I also miss the grinning devil smiley, I loved that one. But otherwise, I'm happy. 🙂
I second the suggestion of a legend on the dashboard, though, that would be great!

The new smileys scale with the text. The larger the text, the larger the smiley.
But how do you change the size? I can’t.
In this post the big smileys were set as headlines.
