¿How can i tag an image form the media library?

  Hello! Hope you can help me. I have a new blog https://alfombrarojaperu.wordpress.com/ and as you can see i am having trouble into getting the images at the first page. I have tagged (Portada) some images form the latest posts but the image appears black and then red but it doesnt appera the picture. Also ¿can i upload an image to the media library and tag it under portada so that it can imediately go the the first page? Many thanks in advance

  You don’t need to tag images. I’m not even sure what you mean by tagging an image. The featured content area of the Canard displays posts which have the featured content tag you assign at Customize. From the Canard theme guide:

  The homepage allows you to prominently display your choice of up to five posts in a crisp grid. Select which posts to display with the “featured” post tag, or designate a different tag in Appearance → Customize. The Featured Content area displays when your front page is set to show your latest posts – use it to make sure your best articles get noticed.

  The images which appear in the featured content area, and in the other posts on the posts page, are featured images assigned to the posts.

  Also ¿can i upload an image to the media library and tag it under portada so that it can imediately go the the first page?

  Not to my knowledge. I’ve never heard of adding a tag to an image that would direct it to a certain page.

  Thanks a lot, i will try your suggestions. But i don´t understand why th eimages appear in black and red still.

  Those posts don’t have any tags. You’ve got to assign a featured content tag (e.g. “featured,” or whatever you decide upon) at Customize, and then assign the same tag to the posts which you want to appear in the featured content area.

  At least I didn’t find any tags attached to them. It’s not clear to me why they even display at all in the featured content area, each apparently without a featured content tag. Have you hidden the tags?

  The other likely cause for the lack of images displayed in those featured content area posts would be absence of featured images. Have you assigned featured images to each of those posts? A featured image is not an image embedded in the post. It is added with the featured image tool in the sidebar of the post editor.
