-1 Display in Pink Box on Reply To Comment

  When a try to post a reply to a comment, I get a pink box with ‘-1’ and no other message. What is this?

  I have never seen this in all my 8-10 years of posting on WordPress. I tried several different comment replies the other morning, and each time the pink box and “-1” displayed below the reply entry box after I hit “Reply.”

  I logged out in frustration, sent the message you’ve replied to, and went elsewhere. When I logged back onto WP a few hours later, I sent two replies without issue.

  What was that?

  My best guess is the cookie used to recognize you are logged in was broken somehow, and by logging out and logging in you fixed it.
