1and1 destination setting using wordpress name servers
-
Hi, I have been using a wordpress blog (http://adscovery.wordpress.com). I recently added a domain to my wordpress account (http://adscovery.com) and made it my primary domain. The domain is registered with 1and1, so I changed the DNS name servers in 1and1 to use wordpress name servers. But my sites (http://adscovery.wordpress.com and http://adscovery.com) are getting directed to the destination folder I have got in 1and1.com. How do I make it to point to my wordpress blog?
Thanks,
-AdityaThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Are these the instructions you followed? > http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/map-existing-domain/#instructions-for-mapping-an-existing-domain

Both resolve to http://adscovery.com/ fine for me to a WordPress.COM blog – it takes time for the changes to migrate across the internet. It can take 24 to 72 hours for changes to migrate across the internet.

timethief: yes is did.
auxclass: I am still getting forwarded to my website and not the blog. I tried cleaning the cache. Will give it a day to see if it gets resolved on its own.
Thanks,

You can have problems with your local ISP caching and other routers that you have used to visit your site not being updated. Every time I have moved a site others could see the new site before I could see the new site based on caching problems – yes it is frustrating.

Great! Thanks!
Yeah I think it some caching issue. I tried connecting from my cellphone and it worked fine.

I am having a new problem now. My homepage works, but no other page works (get 404 error). Tried http://adscovery.com/page/2/, http://adscovery.com/about/ etc.
Do I have to make any specific changes to fix this?
Thanks,

http://adscovery.com/quotes/
http://adscovery.com/about/
http://adscovery.com/page/2/All load fine for me. Have you tried clearing your cache?
Not sure what else to say.

Thanks for trying auxclass. This is quite weird. I tried on my computer and another computer with the same 404 page not found error.
Will give it some time to see if it fixes on its own.
