2 HOME PAGES..

  my sight shows 2 home pages…ONE is mine. the other appologizes for nothing being there!!!!.. I removed all content with the intent of starting over…

  iT WONT LET ME..
  so here i am … what do i do… if i dont have an easy peasy solution i’m leaving it and going else where.. i dont have time for this !!!!

  Stay or leave as you please. The solution to your problem, however, is right in the Support documents or, as TT says:

  To deal with your 2 home pages issue create a custom menu and include your own Home page and any other pages and items you want in the menu, save the menu, and then from the “primary location” pulldown in the theme location module at upper left on the menu page, select your custom menu name and then click save.

  I give up.. i can’t get anything but the error messages to appear on the page below the header.. and those messages cant be deleted. I can add pages but the error about nothing is there is ALWAYS the first thing anyone would see.. they same messages there with all my content erased. i did everything suggested… and the error messages STAY.

  Since your site is marked, private, we can’t actually see what is going on.

  It appeared because you deleted all your posts, including the automatically generated “Hello World” post that comes with each site. As soon as you create and publish a post, the message about “sorry, nothing found” will go away.

  Maybe just step back and breath a little. Have you worked your way through the Learn WordPress.com tutorial? I highly recommend it http://learn.wordpress.com/ if you haven’t yet.

  yes to the tutorial.. yes to the other things.. did everything you all suggested… and thank you. Got rid of the two home pages.. got down to just one. Did publish.. and the error messages stayed. * whine*.. so at this point I think I’ll go fix a pot of coffee, drink it all and forget the entire thing til some time in the next few weeks when i’m not quite so angry with the entire thing. Maybe by then the gremlins will get tired and go away LOL.

  lol yep cream and sugar for me too.. but I think at this point I’ll use a touch of bailey’s and stare at the fire in the fire place.
