2015 Theme Header Image Strangeness

    I don’t understand how the Header Image works for the WordPress 2015 Theme. All I want is to put a logo above the name in the sidebar and to the left of the name on smaller screens. But when I upload the image, it looks HUGE and fills the entire background of the sidebar, and is cropped off in places on smaller screens.

    Anyone have any suggestions how I can get a simple, square logo to appear above the name in the sidebar and to the left of the name for smaller screens?
