301 Redirect

    Followed all instructions with no avail.

    want to 301 old blog, doctorbrady.wordpress.com to new worpress.org blog, drbrady.truehealthlabs.com.

    purchased wordpress.com redirect for $13/yr and set the redirect to drbrady.truehealthlabs.com

    truehealthlabs.com is hosted by Bigcommerce. I created a DNS recored there (Host: drbrady.truehealthlabs.com…A Record…Redirect: IP address of drbrady.truehealthlabs.com (which is hosted on my namecheap web server)).

    Namecheap, Bigcommerce, and WordPress instructions says that everything is ok.

    The only thing that redirects correctly is the home page. doctorbrady.wordpress.com redirects to drbrady.truehealthlabs.com but none of the articles do. Trying going to…

    Been at this for days with no solution. Spoke in depth with Bigcommerce and Namecheap and have read many WP articles. No answers. Please help.

    This is because you have not set permalinks on the receiving blog. The permalink structures on the self-hosted blog need to match the structures on the redirected blog. Otherwise, there is nothing for the posts to point to.

    To do that, go to Settings -> Permalinks in the self-hosted blog’s Dashboard and select “Day and Month.”
