301 redirects

    I’m wanting to keep my current free account, but with forwarding to my domain that has hosting. Also, I would like to import the stylesheets and theme for the new blog location.

    My web guy tried doing this, but it’s not redirecting properly.

    Hi there,

    Redirecting traffic from a WordPress.com site to another website requires our Site Redirect upgrade. You can see how to add that here:

    WordPress.com themes cannot be exported for use with other hosting providers. But if you scroll to the bottom of your theme’s support page you’ll find a download link to download the self-hosted version of your theme. That version can be installed on sites running the open source WordPress software with other hosts:
