    I’m interested in starting a free blog. I went through the steps and part 4 was to choose a plan. Each had a monthly charge. I’m not interested in paying monthly payments. What do I to erase my information?

    Hi there,

    You only need a paid plan if you select a custom domain on the address step. On the Select and address step, search for only a key word, not a full domain, and then choose the free *.wordpress.com or .blog subdomain that’s suggested. Then you’ll be able to select the free plan on the Plans step.

    If instead you wish to close your WordPress.com account, you can do so from the Account Settings page:

    Close Your Account
