404 error in Google console
-
I got a message from Google that my site couldn’t be crawled as they were receiving a 404 error ….. Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404…. background-row.png:1. When I check the image link in my wordpress dashboard it shows jpg…. not sure what’s going on. Any help?
Website bazookabob.com It loads fine, but I go to ‘more tools’ then ‘developer tools’ and I get the 404 error.

For clarity…. If I go to the website in Chrome, then click on the 3 dots in upper right, then click on “more tools” then “developer tools”….. Under “Console” you see the 404 error

The error says
Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 ….. background-row.png:1
Hover over the error and it gives you the link ending in .png
When I go view that image in my wordpress dashboard it says it’s a jpg image. When I hover over that it says .jpg
I have no idea why this has suddenly happened. I made no changes that I know of…..

Hi there,
I do not see any sites under your @bazbob57 WordPress.com account when I check on our end. You can confirm by visiting this page: https://wordpress.com/sites.
Is it possible you created your site under a different login? Is it the case that you are using another provider like GoDaddy, Bluehost, Hostgator, etc. instead? What is the URL of the site you are needing help with?
Happy to check in our system so we can take a closer look.
