404- Page Not Found

  I have my domain through Web.com and they completed everything WordPress said was needed to make my website live, though I continue to receive the 404- Page Not Found error when I try to access my site. Is there something else I should try? Could it have to do with the hosting? Help please.

  Are you trying to map your custom domain austindanceacademy.com to your WordPress.com website austindanceacademy.wordpress.com or are you trying to run your own installation of WP on 3rd party hosting?

  If the first (domain mapping), please read this guide on setting up your custom domain with your WordPress.com website https://en.support.wordpress.com/map-existing-domain/#instructions-for-mapping-an-existing-domain

  If the latter (self-hosted WP install), then you’ll need to seek help from your web host and/or the forums for self-hosted site at WordPress.org http://wordpress.org/support If you don’t have a username there, you’ll need to register one.

  WPcom (where we are) and WP are entirely separate entities. For clarity, you’ll want to read this Support doc: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
