503 backend fetch failed message
-
Hi. We are currently unable to log in to our website as it is returning a 503 backend fetch failed error message. The website is still live and I’ve checked with the hosting server and there are no errors with that so we are unsure how to access the site. We haven’t made any changes or plug in changes but can’t access the back end of the website to be able to check status on things. Does anyone have any advice please on how we can access our WordPress platform for the site please? Thanks

Hi,
Thanks for getting back to me. The website is https://boundlessevents.co.uk. We’ve spoken to the hosting provider and they have advised there are no hosting/server issues so I’m a bit stuck as to how to get in to the website to be able to check for any issues.
Thanks
Charlotte

Hello Charlotte,
the hosting provider and they have advised there are no hosting/server issues so I’m a bit stuck as to how to get in to the website to be able to check for any issues.
In which case you should turn your attention to the themes and/or plugins on the site.
A 503 is a loading error, so something there is conflicting.
I’d recommend asking the hosting provider to switch to a default theme, and deactivate all plugins to gain access.
It would then be a case of activating things one by one to see what the problem plugin/theme is.
I hope this helps.
