9 pages of spam (161)

  Not really a question: I got 9 pages of spam today (161). Think maybe the akismet filter may have sprung a leak?

  BUT if they were in the Spam folder, Akismet didn’t spring a leak. It caught them all. If that is the case, no need to contact Akismet. It’s doing its job.

  I suppose what I mean is, I usually get a handful a day, today 161. But you’re absolutely right, of course. Can I change my question: why in blue thunder would I get 161 spams in one day?

  Probably because you got indexed by a new search engine, OR you allowed a spam comment to be posted; spam draws spam. If Akismet is catching it, then good. Akismet let a comment from “fuckmilfs.blogspot.com” to be posted on my blog, and I’m not pleased with that.
