A host

  • Unknown's avatar

hi… i want to assign the ip-adress of my blog to the domainname that i bought via wix…

This should be possible right? at the wix site, under the advanced domain setting, under A (host), i can enter in an ip adress where i want the domain to point to. So i guess i am basically asking for the ip adresses of my wordpress blog (which i restarted today).

Thank you very much! the domain was pretty expensive and then they wanted me to upgrade to premium. Which i thought i had allready done by purchasing the domain. maybe i’t my communication fault, but i’m an unhappy cosumer non the less.

    thanks and kind regards,

  • The best way to map a domain to a WordPress.com blog is to set your domain’s name servers to the following values:

    NS1.WORDPRESS.COM

    NS2.WORDPRESS.COM

    NS3.WORDPRESS.COM

However, if your registrar requires that you create A records, please note that our IPs change over time. Because of this, your domain might stop working at some point in the future. If that happens, please get in touch with us to find out the most current IPs and then update your A records, accordingly.

If you still want to map your domain using A records, please be sure to create two records using these IP addresses:

    192.0.78.25

    192.0.78.24
