A Photo Gallery with Albums — Recommendations??

  Hi All!

  My wife and friends have a small spinning/knitting group with WP.com site http://saltbaytreadlers.wordpress.com/ and they want to add a photo Gallery page.

  Research to date suggests that it’s very easy to set up a page that shows ALL attached images in either rows and columns or as a slideshow. There does not appear to be an “out-of-the-box” way to organize the images into groups (a/k/a “albums)

  I’m hoping to keep set up and maintenance as simple as possible — adding new images (and albums?) will be an ongoing thing. Most of my experience has been with WP.org so I feel like a newbie.

  How far out of the box can we go?

  Hello there,
  There is no “album” feature provided by WordPress.com. We choose which images to place into which groups we wish to create and we can have mulitple galleries on the same page. This is done by either by the include/exclude option, or by uploading the one set of images to another page and using the ID of that page. See here:

  We can’t go out of the box at all, but you can push the envelope a bit.
