Abandoned site and GDPR

  Hello,

  One of our students created a wordpress.com site over 10 years ago without referring to the IT department of our school.
  He did it in the name of a program that does not exist anymore for a long time.
  This site has not been modified / managed since March 2013.
  The creator could not be identified.

  We have a request for deletion of data under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

  Having failed to identify the student who created the site, can you provide us his email address or, failing that, his first and last name so that we can ask him to delete the personal data found there?

  We can try to contact the site owner directly. Please indicate the URL involved.

  Due to our strict user data protection policies we aren’t able to give out any such details requested about the account owner, though.

  There’s not much we can do. Only the site owner can take it down.
