About domain

  I am currently using the free version of WordPress. I wish to upgrade to a paid plan. This plan will enable me to choose a domain of my choice. Am I right?
  Further, when I change the domain name, will I be required to design the website again, or will the existing website (with wordpress.com as the suffix) be converted to the new domain?

  1. Yes as long that domain is available and the TLD is supported by wordpress.com, https://wordpress.com/support/domains/domain-pricing-and-available-tlds/
  2. The existing website will become the new domain.
