  I’m teaching a class for digital marketing and I wanted students to build their own websites. Of course, I don’t want to ask them to spend any more money than they already have. I’d love for them to use WordPress; do you offer a free account for students/academic use only?

  Hi there,

  Anyone can create a site for free on WordPress.com. When creating a new account and site, just make sure to select the free WordPress.com address rather than adding a custom domain, and select the free plan on the plans step.

  We do not offer any features included in our paid plans for free for academic use, so if your students wish to use any paid features on their sites, they will have to buy the applicable plan.
