Access Deleted Site URL

    I created a site in college, but I no longer have access to the e-mail address associated with that site. I would like to transition my current page to that URL/username, however, my preferred username is unavailable since it is tied to the old site which is inaccessible. Is there a process for me to claim that username under my current WordPress site?

    The only way to proceed is by providing us proof of ownership for the old account. Then we can help you change the username and/or email address to get things lined up as you wish.

    Sometimes the universities can temporarily reinstate the email address so you can get a password reset and sign in, then change the email address. It’d be worth looking in to if you can’t provide any other proof of ownership.
