access to an old WordPress site / copying old site

    I’ve been adding to a site created in 2013 by a former student. Now I’d like to copy over the site in order to update it fully. But I don’t have the right level of access to so that. When I am logged in, I can’t access the ‘My Site->Tools->Export->Export All’ function.

    Are you speaking of http://earlymoderndailylife.wordpress.com/?

    You only have an Editor role on that site, not an Admin role, so you cannot request an export of that site, no.

    Only the account that owns that site can export the site content, or change your user role to give you the required access. We cannot change your user role at your request.
