Access to domains asap

    I haven’t used WordPress in a long time, because my needs are for 2 business related sites and a proper website is best for me for that. But since I originally bought my domains through you guys, I’ve been very inefficiently paying you for the domain and then paying to reroute it to my host, in addition to paying my host, of course.

    I was basically wondering how soon my domains could be released back into the public so that I can more efficiently set up my websites and make sure they’re not down for long. I know this is a manual thing, but just thought I’d inquire. Thank you so much!

    Hi there, you can read about how the domain expiration process works here: Domain Expiration.

    In a nutshell, I strongly recommend that you don’t let your domain expire. It may be bid on at auction by someone else during the expiration process, and there’s no guarantee it will ever be re-released for registration again. If it does re-enter the registration pool, there’s a chance someone may register it before you.

    I suggest that you renew your domain as soon as possible, while it’s still available to renew without the $80 late fee, and then transfer a domain to another registrar.
