Access to new/previous site

Hello! I previously had a WP login to this URL whose domain ownership has changed. We have set up this domain under a new Ultimate Managed WordPress Plan account with Go Daddy, and I am trying to to get access to it via my WordPress login. Please tell me what I need to do to gain the same access I had under the old ownership. Thank you!

  • Hi @barbaraamcgowan! As far as I can tell, it looks like the domain doesn’t point to a WordPress site at all… and it could be a problem with the domain itself. Can you contact GoDaddy to see what’s wrong with it?

Also, from what I can see, this domain was never hosted with us. It seems to have been a WordPress site hosted elsewhere. This page explains what I mean: https://get.wp.com

Once you’ve got it pointing to your WordPress site, you should be able to have the same access you had before, but if not I am sure your host can help you.

    Hoping this helps!

  • @barbaraamcgowan, I noticed you bought a plan for the site. It’s still empty though, and the domain says it’s parked free by GoDaddy.

    Can we help?

You’d be welcome to point the domain to our services. You would need to work on copying the content back, though.

Or, if you remember where your site has been hosted before, you can contact them to see if they can help.

If you’d like to host here (and you’d be welcome; we do a great job of taking care of sites like yours) I was able to find a copy of the content here:
    https://web.archive.org/web/20210610090933/https://contemplativeoutreachofmarylandandwashington.org/

It would be some work to copy and paste the items over, but doable. And when you’re ready, you can map the domain to our service.
