Access to private blogs without registration?

  Hello,

  sorry if the question has already been asked before, I couldn’t find it.

  So I just started a blog and marked it as private, as only specific people should be able to read it.
  My question: is there a way of inviting people and granting access without them having to register on wordpress?

  Hi. No. They must create a WordPress.com account (not not necessarily a blog).

  Note that the only way for WordPress.com to allow any access to a private blog is if the people in question do have a username account. When you do add users these links to support documentation will be helpful:

  What if you have unwanted subscribers? Is there a way for me to unsubscribe them? If I sent the blog to private will they still get emails with the info on my posts?

  There is no way to unsubscribe them other than setting the blog Private and failing to invite them.
