Access to Site
-
I created the inscapes.wordpress.com site quite some time ago, and I can still access it just fine. However, I also created the site bethimpson.wordpress.com and now I can’t get to its dashboard. When I open it, it even has the “howdy, Beth” thing in the top right corner, but clicking on it only takes me to the inscapes dashboard. I created these so long ago that I no longer have the activation email, and I’ve not made any purchases related to them, so is there any way I can get back admin access to the bethimpson.wordpress.com site? Thanks.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there @inscapes,
It’s likely you’re currently logged in to the account that owns inscapes, while bethimpson.wordpress.com belongs to a different account — could you check if you have any other WordPress.com accounts or email addresses you might have used when you created the bethimpson site? -
I have no record of any other WordPress accounts, and I’m very good at keeping such records. The email address for inscapes is the one I have always used for any such activity.

Thanks for confirming.
Could you send a screenshot of wordpress.com/sites while you’re logged in? That’ll show which sites are tied to this account.

You do indeed need too log out and log back in to your other account. Log in with the correct username and password if you can’t recall your other email address..

benitoalba: It only shows the inscapes site there.
And I’ve tried all my other email addresses, just in case. WP doesn’t have any of them.

themagicrobot: I did sign in using my username, and it still only shows the inscapes site. I would just forget it, but I did spend years building the bethimpson site, and it would be very helpful to me now as I am beginning to teach some classes for our local co-op.

@inscapes
On WordPress.com you can log in using different methods (not just email/password):
Try the following:
- Log out of your current account
- Go to the login page: https://wordpress.com/log-in
- Try the different login options
- After each login attempt, check “sites” to see if your blog appears under that account
-
Thanks for your time trying to help me out. It looks like I’ll just have to chalk it up as a loss as none of your suggestions is working for me . . .

Well for a while there you were successfully logged into the other account. Chances are having your othe site cached in your Browser isn’t helping. Log in via a completely different browser. Or leave a comment on your site and see which email address that is sent to.

And it’s a win! Thank you so much — when I signed in on Firefox I got to the site. Give yourself some gold starts from me!
