Accessing the site code and plugins

    Hello,
Recently we purchased the pro bundle for $99. This gave us the domain name praguebeats.com and (I thought) would also give us access to the code to update/tweek the site. For example I would like to change the opacity of the background behind the writing but can’t find the CSS file anywhere to change this? Also I would like to add some plugins – a scrolling banner of articles along the top for example but can’t find the plugins tab under the “appearance” tab. Please can you direct me how to solve these things?

    Thank you.

  • We don’t allow plugins on WordPress.com for security reasons. Plugins are a feature only available for self-hosted blogs provided through WordPress.org. You can find out more about this topic here: http://support.wordpress.com/plugins/

However, we do have several built-in features that were inspired by many popular plugins. You might find what you want by searching for it at http://en.support.wordpress.com/

For more information on the differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org, please see: http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

As for the CSS and such, you can adjust it from Appearance -> Custom Design in your blog’s Dashboard.
