Accessing WordPress content associated with an expired domain

  Hello — my domain cheryldonahue.com expired accidentally and is now gone for good (acquired, for some reason, by the Chinese). How do I access the WordPress content associated with this domain? I need to link it to a new domain. Regards, Cheryl

  Hi Cheryl,

  That domain has not been connected to any WordPress.com site since 2014, and the site it used to be connected to with us was deleted in April 2014. So I’m guessing you’ve been using it with a WordPress website at another hosting provider.

  Only that hosting provider will be able to help you recover your content, as that content was on their servers, not ours. Hopefully they still have a backup of your site on their servers. If they don’t, there’s likely no way to recover your content.
