Accidentally deleted authentication software
-
I recently set up 2-factor verification using Google Authenticator, then accidentally deleted it several days later. I can’t access my account settings without an authentication code. There is no obvious way to use a backup code. Responses to similar problems don’t apply to my particular situation.

Hi there,
The only sites I see on your @mainedruid WordPress.com account when I check on our end are listed here:
- mainedruid.wordpress.com
I see you are able to log in to your WordPress.com account, so you should be able to access the site you see here: https://wordpress.com/sites
Is the issue with a different site that you do not see listed there?
Is it possible you created your site under a different login that we are not able to see? What is the URL of the site you are needing help with?
Happy to check in our system so we can take a closer look.

Thanks, Totoro–
Sorry about the delay in getting back to you; I’ve been up to my derriere in alligators.
For some reason, the backup codes were not working when I first posted here; today I had no trouble getting in and reestablishing the connection between my account and Google Authenticator.
All set.
