accidentally removed a domain from my Sites using Jetpack

Hello, I was having a problem with my domain http://www.theblindmonkey.com, and I seem to have accidentally removed it from my ‘My Sites’ list via Jetpack. Here’s what happened:

I tried several times to log into my domain admin using my browser’s stored password but I failed. After that, going to the website simple showed the server was down. No security messages. I was worried Jetpack had blocked my IP (since others could still access the site), so I went to the Jetpack section in my WordPress admin tool and selected ‘remove’, thinking I was removing Jetpack security from my site, but it seems like I used Jetpack to remove my domain from my sites list instead.

    Pleas advise!

  • Hi! I can see this is marked resolved and the site is back. For anyone else who might run into this:

    1. Jetpack will show a security message if you’ve been blocked. You can unblock your IP. Here’s how: https://jetpack.com/support/protect/

    2. Since you weren’t seeing a site at all, you might have been temporarily blocked by your host. I’d get in touch with them to confirm, especially if the unblock from the first step doesn’t work.

And, if you should accidentally disconnect a Jetpack site, you can reconnect once you’ve got access to your dashboard. If you find you’re missing followers or stats info, get in touch with support to recover that.

    Hoping this helps!
