  Hello, I had a site back in 2018. I don’t recall deleting it or removing it. I did let the domain expire. I can’t seem to find it or use /wp-admin to login. How can I find out what happened to it?

  When you let a domain expire you are literally saying you don’t need it anymore. There is no legal way to claim that domain. After 6 years it’s obvious there is no way to log in or to restore the content

  Yea, I see that.

  I’m asking specifically about the site content. It was all on wordpress. The domain was purchased through a different vendor. If I let a domain registration lapse momentarily, does the site content get deleted?

  If your site was on the wordpress.com platform, it returned to its free version. Other hosting providers simply delete all content. So there is nothing to recover.

  Ok, I’m now remembering it was on bluehost. The content was definitely deleted. Thank you.
