    Hi,
    I have opened an account under (email visible only to moderators and staff) but I have closed is as didn’t know that i will need to have it open/active for the woocommerce app. Ive created now a new account under (email visible only to moderators and staff) but when i tried to change the address, i received a notification, that this email was already ised. Can you please reset it for me or do something for me to be able to use (email visible only to moderators and staff) again?

  • Hi there,

    When you close an account, we retain the data for 30 days (as a grace period in the event someone wants to reopen their account) but purge the account after that date.

    Because of this the email address you used for that account is technically “in use” and can’t be freed up to use with another account. The good news is that you appear to have closed the other account a few weeks ago, so in another couple of weeks you will be able to update the email address of this account without issue.
